IT Technician (George, Western Cape)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining all aspects of the office and kiosk network systems
• Responsible for all IT support – new systems, software and hardware upgrades 
• Basic fault finding, troubleshooting and resolving software issues
• Ensuring that laptops and desktops are set up accordingly with all the necessary applications
• Setting up printing access as well as Wi-Fi access points
• Conduct daily IT operations
• Facilitate the necessary cabling
• Window Server and Domain knowledge
• Responsible for monitoring and protecting networks from viruses and malware
• Responsible for preventative maintenance and upgrades of systems
• Assist on various projects – working on different systems

Key requirements

• Grade 12/ Matric 
• Completed A+ and N+ Certificate in Information Technology or related certification
• Diploma in the IT field is an added advantage
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the IT field
• Ability to work under pressure 
• Attention to detail
• The ability to work with minimal supervision
• Problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• Ability to think proactively
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to exercise good judgement and protecting confidential information
• Valid driver’s license (essential)
• Must be willing to travel
• Be available immediately
